No they shouldn't. Just fix this damn problem before it arises. Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, South Carolina, etc. aren't changing geographic locations anytime soon. The peak of Hurricane season Aug - Oct. isn't changing either. Instead of just "hoping" no conf. games are affected by weather, the SEC could, you know, be proactive and have a plan in case it does.
This is the second goddamn year we've had conference games affected by a significant weather event. Did any one of those morons think after USC/LSU last season "maybe we should come up with a plan?"
Set a deadline on when a decision has to be made. Have the SEC commissioner serve as the arbitrator between the two schools. Put contingency plans in place (even if you don't have to use them)
This situation was not that difficult to remedy. It may not have been the solution either party wanted, but at least it would have gotten the game in.
