What Florida fans are saying

I borrowed this from Phat Phil on SEC Rant:
quote:
aside from the obvious reasons, we are also pretty banged up. this is one time i am glad our game got postponed.
quote:
This has probably already been said (I don't want to read the entire thread) but we likely would have lost to LSU; especially since we are so banged up right now. We now will have one less loss and an additional week to get healthy. With Tennessee's schedule they are likely to have two losses by the end of SEC play. The Gators may just back into the SEC championship; that is if we can win out. Wouldn't that be a gut punch to the Vols?
quote:
I'm okay with this.
quote:
Man I kinda hope we get in over UT on this technicality, if for no other reason then to see how nuts they would go.
quote:
I wont be butthurt if this game doesn't get rescheduled. UF Wins out, UT loses to Bama and TXA&M and UF will be in ATL.
quote:
At this point I'm at screw LSU, UT and the SEC. We will go to the SECCG now if we win out and UT loses two, so it basically counts as a victory towards to SECCG. We literally have no incentive to go play them there and we are not USCe where the SECCG is something we watch.
quote:
If the cards fall right the game will be played in Atlanta, Winner gets 2 in the W column

wait.. so you're telling me they wanted this to happen?

I don't know why Florida is so intent on going to Atlanta. They're going to get their asses whipped by whoever they play.
They want to back their way in just to say they went? Is that just how far down the scale Florida has gone?

They screwed LSU and UT by not playing this game and getting drubbed. It's a pussy way to do it, and I hope they lose to Mizzou next week.

It's hilarious their fans put how scared they are in writing

quote:I know, right? They've fallen WAY DOWN from the grace of the Spurrier and Meyer years. Pathetic.

What would be awesome is if they did end up in Atlanta, but Bama also loses 2, and Florida has to face us. And we run up the score.

that being said, ive hated fla since the 80's. over 100 yrs of football and about 25 yrs of tradition.

quote:I want to play them so badly now! Hanging 50+ on them would be so freaking satisfying. I'd demand Orgeron be hired immediately just for that. lol

A Gator fan called into Moscona yesterday and unwittingly admitted that it was to Florida fans' great pleasure and benefit that the game was canceled.
The flip flop narrative from their fans on the SEC Rant also made this abundantly clear. It takes a minimal amount of deductive reasoning to recognize that they deliberately wormed their way out of playing this weekend and used the hurricane as their cover and are now pretending that LSU fans are being "insensitive" for calling it out.
It's a page straight out of the sleaziest political playbook.

Should be ashamed of yourselves.. Not the way to settle a division race. Cowards

quote:
If all we had to do to get every game played in the swamp was offer to fly the team over, I would personally foot the gas bill.
LSU's "generosity" is complete self-serving BS. The only way I'd agree to play in BR is if LSU agrees to not sell any tickets. Play in an empty stadium.
quote:

quote:
Screw giving LSU 3 straight home games. They already have 3 straight wins on 3 straight fakes. This cancellation absolutely screws them. There is a scenario where they could beat Alabama and win out, both teams have 1 loss and Alabama still goes to the SECCG because they have a higher win percentage than LSU (7-1 vs 6-1).
quote:
They are the cowards for not wanting to play 11/19.
quote:
It was ridiculous to hear everyone on ESPN praise LSU for being so "helpful and understanding" of USCe's situation. It was like LSU was doing USCe a huge favor by letting them play the game in BR instead of Columbia.
quote:
Not playing the game is advantageous for us. We can go to SECC by winning out with TN lose the next 2 games. So why bother?
Don't play it, don't reschedule it unless TN wins one of the next two which is only 30% of chance or less in my opinion
quote:
Why play this game at all, the advantage for not playing LSU outweigh playing the game by a mile if TN lost the next two games.

Many UF fans want to play this game.
However, UF has no problems if this screws UT because UT has 2 of Florida's SEC trophies from '85 and '90 in Neyland.
Also, the Vols was the school that led the charge for UF 1984 SEC title (the first one) being vacated 6 months after the fact.
So 3 SEC titles UT played a part in UF losing even though they won it on the field in all 3 seasons.
So, I'm sure UF fans could not care less about the Vols.
