So. What? Go to the Big 12 were Texas rules the roost 10x more than Bama could even dream of?

Wrong. If we join the Big XII we have bargaining power, which means we get to dictate the terms -- something we have never been able to do in the SEC. If the Texas schools don't offer us terms we like, we walk.

I'm not gonna "rant" more...though UF is a disingenuous asshat administration

I'm NOT going to tell others how they should behave in light of the UF asshatery. Vent and rant if you wish.

I hope LSU plays them later. I hope LF is healthy. I hope LSU has 3 RBs go for 150+. I hope UF is getting beaten by LSU by 60 and LSU is calling timeouts with 3 seconds left to kick a field goal to win by 63.

Texas doesn't rule jack, when was the last time they've been relevant?

It doesn't matter how many games they're winning. They own that league office politically and financially.

You don't get it, this is a "don't tell someone it's raining when you're pissing on them"

The SEC was played by FU strictly for a competitive advantage, and Stank-arse allowed it.

"He let Florida set the narrative and therefore determine the outcome"

YES! Alleva is horrendous at being a figurehead, and that is a very important part of his job. He should have been saying PUBLICLY on Tuesday:

"First and foremost, our concerns are with those in Florida and along the southeast Atlantic coast who at risk due to this terrible storm. Athletics must always be subordinate to such matters of paramount importance. However, it is our job in the athletic department and at the league office, to consider the competitive integrity of our league, even as we keep well in mind that the safety of those in Florida is of overriding importance. Therefore, we believe it is imperative that the decision be made NOW to move Saturday's game either to Tiger Stadium, where we are absolutely prepared to host, or to some other safe location. This will ensure that the game is played while also ensuring that Floridians are not put at risk and that first responders can focus on the much more important task of preparing for Hurricane Matthew."

something like that. Would not have been hard, would not have made us look bad, and FOR ONCE, it would give LSU alums and fans the sense that our AD is out there doing something.

Agreed. They are hoping Bama and Tenn wins out so it's doesn't appear so damn obvious. but yeah, you are absolutely right, and I for one have had enough, frick the SEC.

Then talk to the ACC. It's a better conference than the Big XII anyway. And no Texas/Alabama problem there.

We might even be able to drag Auburn along with us.

Your FOOTBALL team just lost the control of it's own destiny because another school pulled a fast one. But hey, by all means..

I agree with you. I think most would be happy though if aleeva would show a little fire and let the sec office know about it.

LSU fans are a bunch of drama queens. I think it's the hot blooded Cajun in them.

This place has gone off the rails. No. We are not leaving the SEC.

Wear was Alleva supposed to do once the SEC left it in Florida's court?

Those of you who think if he got publicly pissed that he was going to win the PR game are nuts. The ONLY people that would have made happy are LSU fans. In a disaster, the public is ALWAYS going to side with the victims or potential victims.

It happened. Water is under the bridge. Let's get back to FOOTBALL!

I'm really pissed about this situation and pissed at Florida but you are absolutely right.

There just isn't a better situation for LSU in any of the other conferences.
