your not going to change the scheme during the season nor does it necessarily need to be changed. But there was a big change in philosophy. We passed to set up the run. We also passed enough and at the right times that the defense couldn't 100% sell out on the run. We also ran out of formations that spread the defense out enough to make more room to run the ball. Definitely a big change in philosophy. Also we didn't try to slow down the game. We played with tempo. Not fast paced no huddle but definitely more up tempo. The philosophy used to be to slow down the game in order to shorten the game. That wasn't an objective last night. Playing with more tempo seemed to get us into more of a rythymn on offense that seemed to lead to better execution.
