Huh? This is essentially the sentiment of this entire board:
quote:

“That was the only time they ever opened it up,” Brando said. “The moment Mettenberger was gone and Jennings and Brandon Harris got there, they became Pitch-Back U again. And while Leonard Fournette is an extraordinary talent, they were trying to play the game in a phone book and it was simply not going to work. So schematically and from a football standpoint, what happened this past week is, I think, understandable and expected. The issue for LSU, however, is far deeper than just that. . . . They have problems with leadership. The athletic director there is a mere puppet for donors. The president of the university got in the way of them (potentially) hiring Jimbo Fisher at the end of last year. Trust me when I tell you Jimmy Sexton played them like a violin for Jimbo. They had the deal. But then F. King Alexander, the president of the university who is concerned about images and impressions and the way it would look during the economic downturn of higher education in the state of Louisiana, he gets in the way, sort of nixes the situation, and, oh, by the way, they’ve got no Plan B. They’re not going to be able to get Jimbo Fisher, those negotiations break down as a result and they’ve got no Plan B. They basically had Les twisting in the wind since he lost the game with Alabama.”

Brando called LSU’s late-season change of heart regarding Miles last year a “charade.”

He doesn’t know who the Tigers’ next head coach will be, but he doesn’t think it’ll be Tom Herman, who will have the option to coach just about anywhere.

“Why would you want to work at a place where your AD or your president could be out of there within a year or two, or you’re going to be working for incompetent people who are going to be getting in your way?” Brando asked. “You don’t need that.”

Also the sentiment of this entire board is that Herman should become LSU HC.

He's discussing two different topics and combining them into one in a nonsensical way.

Sure, the administration botched the firing of Miles (maybe-and I think that is even debatable). But he doesn't argue Miles didn't deserve it. Miles was here for 12 years and was fully in charge of a Top 5 program.

So, if you're Herman or Fisher, you may come here and have 10 or 12 good years. But if you deserve to get fired, the administration may make it awkward. You would still get fired even if it were cleanly done, but Alleva and Co. might make it weird.

So don't come if you don't want your justified firing, should it occur, to be awkward.

Um ok.

Is it the sentiment of the entire board to try to torpedo LSU'S chances of getting Herman or any other coach worth a damn? Because that's what Tim Brando's trying to do. Tim Brando can get fricked. Sorry you got butt hurt over being passed over for the "voice of the Tigers" gig Timmy, but the truth is, your opinions hold no weight with anyone that matters.

Seems legit? I've got to agree with Brando here.

A winning football coach at LSU easily survives an AD or president change.
