My daughter (no pics...middle school you pervs) had been doong homework since 4 this afternoon. She has four (4) projects due tomorrow and has actually been working on them this week (so this is not last minute).
It's insane the amount of homework they bring home.

Italian kids go to school 11 months out of the year, US teachers would be piss with that schedule.

Idle hands are the Devil's workshop.

Mines a freshman but she has a lot of homework too. They're trying to make up so much work right now. Don't know if yours missed any school but if so that may be why.

Only 4 weeks of vacation per year? Wow! I can't imagine that. No, really, I can't. I only get 2 .

She'll learn how to handle it, or fail. Just like the real world.
You sound like one of those parents that want a trophy for their precious little snowflake just for showing up.

Are they really that underpaid considering they only work a portion of the year?
AMIRITE?

Your child will learn that as long as their work is better than their peers they will get an A. There is no chance in hell 80% of her classmates are putting more than a few hours on each project.
Middle school projects are typically not very tough and wasting too much time on them will hurt her in the long run. Teach her to get shite done in a more timely fashion. It will help her down the line when she has important college/grad work to do.

I have actually heard this from a good number of parents over the last few years...kids have a hell of a lot more homework than we did when we were that age...

Tell her to not be a frickup during class and she wouldn't have to do so much at home.

Should've had sex with an Asian.
Then your kid would be better in school.

Most kids in Europe don't have homework. So that after school they can play with their friends or do extra curricular activities, basically be a kid. Is what the Europeans believe. Funny how they beat the US in schooling...hmmmm

Far from it. Straight A's her whole school career and she's earned it. She has always had a full plate and has handled it. This week and tonight is just over the top.
