You are either naive or ignorant (or both). Just because the 'proof' is not shared with you does not mean it doesn't exist. When information is conveyed in confidence, and accepted in confidence, the party accepting the information has a moral duty to keep it in confidence. To divulge the source of the information would not only destroy any future information from that source, but would also jeopardize that source's position with the people he (or she) is getting the information from. Just because you don't like the information or don't appreciate the confidentiality of the source does not make it wrong or imaginary. If you choose not to believe it, so be it. That's your choice.
