They can sometimes be cured with an ablation procedure. Type of doc that would do this is an electrophysiologist (Heart Rhythm specialist within Cardiology). Typical workup is to quantify the burden with heart monitor worn for a period of time followed by medical therapy (beta blockers and/or remove triggers like caffeine, low potassium, alcohol, ect) to see if symptoms improve. Doc may order an echocardiogram (same technology to look at babies in the womb) to look for structural abnormalities.

Yeah. I wore the monitor for a period of time and got the echo. I asked the technician if it was a boy of a girl.

Doctor basically said to adjust my lifestyle. I didn't recall him mentioning the meds. I'll consider that now if it persists/worsens.
