The one I saw last night couldn't stop a mouse with a shotgun. I know people were hurt etc, but they came within a whisker of tying NFL record of consecutive opening series TD's. I was listening to NFL guys most of the game, and they were almost in disbelief that this was a NFL defense.
They finally just started saying this player and that player is killing Saints, out of position etc.

We might as hell do all onside kicks and just say use the go for on every forth down and see if that helps.

Disgraceful. I could not even watch the reply on my DVR. This team may not be able to beat anyone this year. Do we play Cleveland?

The defense isn't as bad as last night. It's not good by any means, but it's not as bad as last night.

Eta: and I'm not optimistic about this season at all. But the 8 quarters with a semi healthy defense were nothing like the shite show we saw last night

You're saying the Saints are worse than last year? If some of the players come off of injury, they should be better than last year, but no one else can get hurt. I don't see that happening.

That can't be true considering the Raiders have allowed more yards and the Bucs have given up more points.

Again?

They just set the record for being the worst ever Defense a couple of years ago! I had no idea that they are closing in on a new record!

The Raiders set the NFL record for most yards given up in the first 3 games.

It feels like yesterday we were excited about the potential of the defense with each everyone 'healthy'. Then Kikaha got hurt and everyone followed suit and Keenan being released. It just kept getting worse and worse. This is why I'm never optimistic about our defense each and every season.

People who follow the team and know anything about football knows this isn't an "NFL" defense right now. This team is unrecognizable due to injuries
