Tennessee in a panic...

...and I love it. I took the below from the vol nation site.

Not to be overly dramatic, but what in the world is going on with recruiting? With Chris Jordan commiting to Bama, that makes 3 of the top 5 players in-state leaving with Saban. We don't exactly have a lot of in-state talent to choose from, and this is a concerning precedent. That leaves us the regional and national base that Fulmer has made a living off of. Only problem is, the big dogs are walking early this year, and almost all of the rivals 100 have commited. As it sits, I'm afraid we will have to scramble to just sign an average class....the 2nd of its kind in 3 years, with a great class in-between. This is not how programs are turned around, how championships are won, or how Florida and Georgia are caught. I know CPF believes last year's class will win a national title, but it won't without help. Frustrating, especially while Meyer and Richt continue to stockpile.....and now Saban is clipping along at a speed unseen in Tuscaloosa in over a decade. Make no mistake: he will turn that program around in record time, and he'll do it the right way. It's only going to get tougher folks, and all I see is a slouching toward mediocrity.

I have no sympathy for the Viles and the Great Pumpkin. Most obnoxious fans anywhere, bar none.

They are pretty docile. They just have a real hatred for Alabama so you are on the receiving end of that.
A long time Vol season ticketholder gave me his tickets for the LSU game at Neyland last year because he could not make the game. My wife and I went in with our P&G, head to toe expecting the worst. There were about 10 Tiger fans within a couple of rows of us and we yelled the entire game and never sat down. The Vol fans rarely stood up and never said a thing to us. After we won they congratulated us and said they liked having us around!

Scoop,
Why is it that when someone, other than yourself, post anything remotely related to Saban, you always respond by saying that people need to move on and forget about the him?
Now you post something directly related to none other than the "Devil".
What's it gonna be???????

I always thought Tennessee had pretty good fans. Florida are the worst followed by Georgia.
For the record I think Bama fans are pretty good also.

Scoop, you know what happened the last time Bama started pulling top recruits out of the State of Tenn? Albert Means anyone?

Posted on 12/22/07 at 12:43 am to Tigerark
Yea, they are already trying to make allegations. We pulled a big one but he had it down to us and another school Tenn wasn;t even in the race.

Bama locking down the Volunqueer state is enough to make me cheerful. That fatass up North is one of the reasons we got caught.

Does it matter? What has Fulmer been doing with all of those top-5 casses he's been reeling in?
Methinks the recruits are getting wise to the fat man behind the curtain.

Trust me, you have it right on this one. It is pretty surprising to me that the Florida posters on this site are actually pretty good. The smug level on the "bad" ones that I have come across in person down here is unrivaled. There are a lot of good UF fans too, I'm just saying the bad ones are the worst.

Fulmer is a good coach, but they really need a change...

You aren't kidding.
I have a friend who has lived in Oklahoma his whole life but is a Gator fan.
Here's a serious quote from him:
"I'll be disappointed if we don't win the national championship next year."
I was like... what the frick? Seriously? How can you even have those sort of expectations...

Cutcliff leaving might be the "death blow" next season. Their offense tends to get pretty shitty when he isn't around.

Last summer I was in a bar with my girl, and her friends. Two of these guys were Gator tards. So anyway, I congratulate them on their football and Basketball National titles and tell them how the future for the Gators is looking pretty good. They reply with thanks, followed by LSU sucks and "We own their arse".

Or upward spiral depending on how you look at it.
Yeah, my buddy is constantly reminding me how good they will be next year.
He made me 3 promises tonight that I've kept in my cell phone to hold him to it...
1) They will beat Georgia next year - guaranteed.
2) He guarantees Tebow will be even better than last year.
3) And I'm crazy to think they could even possibly lose 3 games next year.
Posted on 12/22/07 at 5:01 am to OBUDan
They have a really good shot at coming through on 1 and 3 on that list. With the help Tebow will have next season, I don't think he will have a better season. Not touchdown wise at least.
In fact if I had to pick a favorite for the National Title next year it would be Florida. It is just silly to expect one though. LSU, UGA, Tenn, FL. St. won't be easy games. I think LSU will be an underdog to them, but we will have a hell of a shot, IMO.
