Alright dude... I was in school during the Archer/Hallman/DiNardo years. I'm no young ignorant punk.

Anyone who follows LSU (and college football) closely knows the BASIC facts you are presenting.

I stand by my statements.

We did not fire one of the most successful coaches in our 120+ years of football mid-season to hire from within.

And IF (GREAT BIG IF) we did, it should at least be the one who has already been a HC. Aranda has ZERO experience there.

I think it just depends. If you can get Herman you have to go that route. If he turns you down I think O may have a chance. But he would have to run the table IMO to really get a true chance.

If O gets the nod then JA needs to hit the road. O is best coaching the Dline. We need a proven guy. This is LSU, we need someone to win NOW!

They've had someone lined up just for this situation.

This..!

If it is "O" or someone else I think there was a scenario in place just in case this happened.

There are three "candidates" that could bring the Tigers to the next quantum leap: Kevin Sumlin, David Shaw, and Charlie Strong. If the program can somehow land one of these, you're talking about greatness.

Nice agenda

Love O, but would rather him be DL coach & lead recruiter for the next coach.

He's been passed over before by USC.
Don't think he'd stay if it happens again.

Bobby Bowden was very successful by letting his coaches coach. I like Herman too, but he wants the Ohio State job and is not leaving Houston if they move to a bigger conference. Houston can pay any amount to keep him.

UM is not even close to retiring at Ohio State. Herman is from Texas. If there was another job he wants it would be Texas, or maybe Texas A&M, not OSU.

Ask yourself this, Would you be excited if they hired a Notre Dame defensive line coach who was a former failed head coach of Northwestern and only makes $600,000 per year?
