That might not be the worst of hires. I would certainly rather Herman or Fisher but this guy is obviously a good coach. Hell, his FCS school could probably beat us if we played.

I'm pretty sure they would honestly. Suprised no one has offered him yet. He knows how to win and beat ranked FBS schools lol.

This isn't a bad idea at all.
Ohio State pulled Jim Tressel out of the FCS after they fired John Cooper. He had won 4 FCS championships in a 7 year span. After his first year going 7-5 (OSU went 8-4 in Cooper's last year), he went undefeated in his 2nd year and won a national title. After his first year he didn't finish the season outside the top 10 but once. He finished in the top 5, 7 of his last 9 years with 2 more national championship appearances, and 6 straight conference championships. He also won 5 BCS bowls while playing in 8.

His predecessor is failing miserably at Wyoming

he is a great coach and would definitely be an upgrade, hell anyone would be an upgrade!

I got to meet him last year. Very detail oriented person. Kids play hard for him.

What about P. J. Fleck if we go for a younger guy? Don't know much about him, but I've seen his name mentioned on other boards.

PJ Fleck runs a good program at western michigan but people would probably set fire to the football ops building if LSU hired him right now
