Bingo.....not that the people doing it aren't deplorable human beings, its just a result of being of social media and athletes being so accessible for idiots to sound off on.
I probably would have been more weirded out back in the day getting them because it took effort then, now just make up a username on twitter and threaten away.

Exactly.
I can't imagine some idiot sitting down and writing a death threat, then mailing it. By the time they get it the player might of won the next game for you.
