As near as I can tell, Saban and Belichick are very similar. They have a proven process and don't have meddling owners/admins.
Other schools aren't so lucky. Saban truly runs his own show from all impressions. He would not be as successful at Texas or Miami for example.

It doesn't matter if it is "real." Everyone in that Bama athletic dept from the janitor to Nick's coaches believe on it. That's the key to organizational success; culture and ideals that people believe in.

The process didn't work for Saban at Miami. It sure worked for John Wooden at UCLA. For a very long time.

I've read the thread and it seems that we've boiled The Process down to 3 key tenets:
1) Be a hyper-knowledgeable and super detail oriented coach.
2) Get great players.
3) Be willing to adjust if a better idea comes along.
I think we've cracked the code, folks! Please send a link with the recipe to the LSU Football Department.
