You got a year of tape to check from last year, but I digress

coop was also a misstep out of bounds from a monster sunday.
Right, not to mention Desmond trufant is one of the true shut down corners

Cooper and Benjamin are similar tier type players. I couldn't say that I think one is significantly better than the other. Kind of a toss up and one of those things you go with your gut about.

I think Benjamin had another TD called back bc his heel was ob.

True but I believe that cams rushing TDs will even it out

Give me Benjamin over Cooper. Clear #1 on a higher scoring offense and much better in the red zone.
When Oakland went for 2 v the saints they went to Crabtree. When they had a 4th and goal v Atlanta, Crabtree again. When they need a play seems like Cooper hasn't overtaken Crabtree in that role. There's no doubt who cams go to guy is.
Cooper red zone targets were pitiful last year iirc.

Which means less TD's for Benjamin?
Posted on 9/20/16 at 12:33 pm to Boomshockalocka
Benjamin will get a bigger share of his team's targets, but the volume won't be much difference between the two
Cooper already has 2 RZ targets to Benjamin and Crabtree's 1 this season
Last year he was a rookie and hobbled all year

It should be a minimal difference btw the 2 that could go either way. I was just curious why you thought Cooper would out score Benjamin.

Amari Cooper…trouble ahead — in a few weeks, and for a few years? San Diego cornerback Jason Verrett has become a shutdown corner. He locked down Allen Robinson in Week 2, and pretty well squashed Jeremy Maclin Week 1 – and Verrett was showing shutdown skills last season. Verrett has arrived. Which means the AFC West now features Jason Verrett, Marcus Peters, and Aqib Talib…three of the best corners in the NFL, all in one division – and Amari Cooper has them on the schedule six times this year (five for regular fantasy, including FF-playoffs). Cooper will face each of these foes over the next seven weeks – Week 5 (SD), Week 6 (KC), Week 9 (DEN). You may consider cashing out ‘high’ ahead of that, in a redraft format. You may want to consider targeting Michael Crabtree as a way to play that stretch. Having a WR1 (Cooper) who is a shaky start for nearly 50% of the middle of the fantasy season is going to be frustrating. Additional note – Amari and Derek Carr are going to be saddled with this schedule nuisance…for what? A couple of years ahead? I love Cooper, but I wish he didn’t have this cloud hanging over his head in a few weeks, or for the next few years in Dynasty.

Crab caught a 2 pt conversion v the saints and a 2 yd TD pass v the Falcons. That's 2 targets for sure that I've seen. Biggest plays of both games too.
Posted on 9/20/16 at 12:51 pm to Boomshockalocka
A 2pt conv isnt a RZ target
Cooper was targets before the TD to Crabtree v no too

you can't be serious. Just bc a website doesn't count it don't let that override common sense.

Sounds like your gripe is with the NFL bubba
Posted on 9/20/16 at 12:59 pm to GynoSandberg
Are targets an official Stat? Surely aren't on the NFL.com when I'm looking at stats on game day, gotta go to ESPN for that.

Those DBs are legit. Verrett is the only one that shadows though. Gonna come down to Cooper having to step up his game, Crabtree showing up, Waldorf etc. More weapons the more those DBs have to work
Benji does get those NFC south teams, so that's a positive. Each one has a good CB, too, though (pending Breaux health)

Cooper,
Faces 3 shut down corners twice a year in Verrett, Peters and Talib.
Just something to think about.
Overall I still like Cooper over Benjamin.
Cooper is for sure more talented.

Amari Cooper is on pace for 1,568 receiving yards. That would put him 5th in yards among second-year WR and 4th among WR age 22-23 all-time.

Crabtree opening up all kinda space for that guy
