The support that the club is getting is fantastic. However, the club is still young and they are going to need to do a lot of things to be seriously considered for MLS. In short, the fans have committed, now the club needs to do so as well.

Utilization of the facilities at the University of Cincinnati was a brilliant strategy to help build the foundation. However, they are going to need a stadium plan of their own for the future and right now the club has none and has stated that they have no intention of developing one. That fact is an automatic excluder from MLS in today's selection process for those final four clubs.

Moreover, the club has no headquarters, training ground, or academy plans. When asked about these concerns, the owner stated that they may purchase a practice field at some point in the future. There are questions about the commitment and intentions of the ownership. They need to take steps forward with their vision for the club. There is a great opportunity here with this organic support and enthusiasm. Hopefully, the club matches it so this spark can reach its full potential.

I need to say that all of my information comes from sources that are from earlier this year. Perhaps there have been encouraging developments in the recent past.

Hopefully they can find an ownership group willing to spend some cash and invest in the team like they should. Sounds like the fans have earned it.
