QB recruiting under Les Miles (first 11 yrs): Signed: 16 Finished at LSU as QB: 3 Never played a down: 7 Left/never arrived: 10
You don't have to be a numbers person to understand this, it's pretty simple...
In his first 11 years, Les signed 16 QB's. Of the 16, only 3 finished their career at LSU. Of the 16, 7 never played a down. Of the 16, 10 left or never arrived.

I've been saying this for years.

He recruited Dak Prescott as a TE.
That's all you need to know.

You can't really count Harris, McMillian or Scott in that number as they haven't had a chance to finish yet. So it's 3/13, or 23%. If all 3 stay somehow that would be 6/16, or 37%, which would bring us up to the conference average. Don't you feel much better now?

I couldn't care less what percentage of QBs played, didn't play, didn't finish, didn't who up, etc. I'm only worried about those who did play. We can assume that the people who played were the ones Miles thought were best, so those are the ones who deserve to be judged.
All of those QBs combined for 1484/2584 - 57.4% - 19,717 yards - 141 TDs - 76 INTs and a passer rating of 133.6. As a group they would have been ranked 75th in the country in completion percentage last year. They would have ranked 54th in passer rating and 43rd in yards per attempt.
Mediocre gets thrown around way too much on this board, but it fits perfectly to describe the passing game since 2007. At this point it doesn't matter what the real problem was. OL, scheme, bad QBs, bad OCs, etc. - it all falls on the head coach after this long.

I thought T-Bob and Matich's comments were very telling. Miles has an abject terror of his QB losing the game for him because of JLee. JLee was supposed to be a project and Perrilloux was supposed to be the man and it showed.
Matich hit the nail on the head and it is something that I noticed starting in Jefferson's 2nd year. Jefferson would drop back and quickly set his feet then he would hesitate to throw which of course screws up the timing. all around. If you are asking for a 2 step separation in this level you are wishing that the Easter Bunny is real.

in 11 years? I don't find it that bad... its part of the game these days
Go check out Alabama AB turnover rate. It'll give you an idea. Or Amy program besides TAMU for that matter.
