I only have 1 inherited gun - my granddads Marlin 30-30. I love the gun, but other than knowing it was my Granddads, I don't have any memories of it. He only shot one deer in his life - a doe - He used this gun to do it. I killed my first deer with it as well - and several others for a few years. I couldn't even remember seeing the gun until he passed away and my uncle brought it to me. Although I am sure it was in his old glass front gun cabinet when I was little. My uncle had taken it for safe keeping when his health started to fail.

He also gave me a shotgun as a gift - that gun means more to me because it was not only my first gun, but I carried it in the woods with him when we would go after squirrel, rabbit or doves.
