re: Recommendations for good extended stay lodging in Houston?

I was in your shoes about 2 years ago. Although I wasn't ever trying to stay downtown. There are tons of extended stay places. Just never stay at an Extended Stay America. That was awful. I stayed on the west side at the toll road, and up north by the woodlands. My suggestion with an infant is to get a room on the first floor at the end of the hall. That way when they wake up crying in the middle of the night, you don't wake up every room around you and you can sneak out to the car easily. I had to drive my 3 month old around to get him to sleep some nights.
