F$&k you. I haven't left a game early in nearly a decade, and that was only due to illness. Prior to that, the only games I left early from were late in the forth quarter during blow-out victories over rent-a-win teams.
I charged the field after Ole Miss. I believed in Harris to the very end against the Cowbells.
I stayed to see Jennings' miracle drive to beat Arkansas. I kept my dad in his seat so we could watch the comeback against Troy State.
All this, much, and more have I seen, and more will I see. The sidewalk fans, the traffic beaters, and the see-and-be-seen crowd can take their leave. I will be there until the clock reads all zeros and the band sings the alma mater along with the other few thousand die hards.
When I witness the comebacks from my seat instead of over my car radio, those who left will regret they had.
