Videos show aftermath of 9th Ward crash, son of Slidell official charged
Instagram videos posted last week captured the aftermath of a car accident where a 27-year-old man, passed out with a needle in his hand, is revived by emergency officials and then speeds off again and hits more cars.
The driver in the video, named by Fox 8 as Colin Mathison of Slidell, had his initial arraignment in New Orleans Municipal Court on Wednesday (Sept. 7). He did not appear to be in court, but his lawyer Bryan Haggerty -- who also serves as Slidell's city attorney -- entered a plea of not guilty.
Mathison is the son of Slidell Chief Administrative Officer Tim Mathison, who Fox 8 reported came to the scene. The car was listed as owned by him.
Mathison faces multiple charges in New Orleans municipal and traffic court, records showed, including possession of drug paraphernalia, hit-and-run and reckless driving. WWL reported he was booked and released shortly after on a court order, meaning no bail was required.

Seriously, I cannot fathom how people get to be needle junkies.
I mean, look at it. I have never taken a lortab and said "oh yeah, this is worth destroying my whole life over".

A little bit of difference between a lortab and a shot of heroin.
I would guess.
Neither are worth the misery anymore than any other addiction is.
shite happens. To good folks and bad folks.

I mean...I get that.
I've had dilaudid on occasion in hospital...and yeah it was fricking amazing. Made me feel great.
But it's not something I'd destroy everything and everyone to get.
Maybe I just don't have that particular addiction.

The real question here is why the hell was he in the 9th Ward to begin with?
Nevermind he was there buying heroin
