Would you bet on Les Miles still being the LSU head coach on 01/01/2017?

Money talks and it says Les will still be our head coach heading into the bowl game.

Here’s one more thing people can bet on this season besides the Heisman or the national championship: Les Miles’ job security.

Bookmaker.eu has released its odds for whether or not Miles will still be the head coach at LSU on Dec. 31. Miles is currently favored at -320 to hold onto his job. The money line for him to lose his job is set at +240.

If he has another loss or 2 before Bama he is gone before November most likely. The only way he makes it that far is if we won out but that is most likely not gonna happen.

too early to bet (not that I understand the line).

as a gut I don't think he's gonna make another year and I also think it gets ugly. miles is probably pissed about last year and is determined to do what he wants no matter the result.

it's almost as if he doesn't give a damn if we have a lousy punter and kick off guy (and only 9 guys on the field). among other things of course.

The decision may be made by then, but there are essentially zero examples of long-term coaches at this level being fired for performance midseason. It would be an unprecedented move.

Based on this post Run the Table or else I give him a 5% chance of being the coach after this season.

I dont think we make a January bowl game if we have one more game where we play like we did last weekend. Then after another mediocre bowl he'd be fired/forced to resign as soon as the bowl game was over so it seems like a decent bet to say he won't still be the head coach heading into next year.

Wins $240. Get your $100 back plus $240 in winnings. Good luck.

I'm so disenfranchised after what happened last year. I thought we were getting Jimbo and the rug was pulled out from under us. I won't believe he's gone until an official announcement is made.

Even though i said he would be fired if things go south earlier in this thread i get the feeling that Alleva will let Miles coach the whole year and then after Miles will "retire."

We could have 3 losses going into the Bama game. If Bama puts a beating on us like they did to USC. He will be fired the Monday after the Bama game.

Right now I wouldn't bet that he'll be coach Sunday morning.

I am worried. He survived last year when I thought he was gone. After that happened I felt we were stuck with him for the long haul. I just have a feeling that he is going find some way to hang on. I hope I'm wrong.
