And that's quite a history.Of course any fan not going back further than Miles
So we should just accept 4th and 5th place SEC West finishes because we used to be worse in the 90's? Is that what you're saying?

This is going to sound harsh, but it needs to be said. Don't waste your time reading any post/thread that even looks like it may be leading to that line of BS.. Because that's exactly what it is, BS.. We should NEVER accept mediocrity, show complacency, or settle for anything simply because someone accumulated "X" number of wins over a period of time. It will look nice on a plaque for wall decoration, but doesn't mean a damn thing when evaluating the current situation.
People who continue to use this as an excuse to accept mediocrity aren't being rational. Their opinion is biased, based on PAST success, and shows no consideration for LSU's future. I'm thankful for our lone championship he won back in '07/8, but that was almost 10 years ago. It's past time to move on.
To put this in perspective, Saban did it in 5 years.. from SCRATCH. Not to mention he's won five SEC West titles, four SEC championships, and four national championships in 9 years, building the Bama program from scratch.
We can love Miles and appreciate what's he's done for us. We can even look past all of the bad calls, botched plays, bad time management, bad game management, and any other "clock-it" situations that we can think of.. But it's time to move on. I don't care how many games LSU has won BECAUSE of him or IN SPITE of him, it's just time to move on.. Because none of those "records" are winning us any games or improving our team TODAY.
