Yes,I just relish these shows about Atlanta (reality,non-reality and in between) that does nothing more than portray Atlanta as the only city in the country where you really get the "black experience".
or the only place where middle and upper middle class black people live. NEVERMIND that NYC has almost 10X more black people living there.
Hilarious that Real Housewives of NYC are all white and
the Real Housewives of Atlanta are all black and most if not all don't live anywhere near the city limits.

Those were as good a two initial episodes as I've seen in a long LONG time. Every single character seemed legit and real as hell. The dialogue was spot-on and legit LOL at times. I'm ecstatic about the show right now.
The "that's just jail, you gay as hell" or whatever line had me rolling. Also, their faces when they got the lemon pepper wet was so classic.
I got a feeling Sheeeeeeit is gonna steal every scene as the dad. He looks like he's gonna be awesome.
Really excited to see what Herb's fall from grace was. He's clearly the "smart kid" who I'd imagine is naturally smart and thought that could get him through things, or maybe he went to college and then something happened.
So many storylines that I'm pumped to see, the environment just seemed so real and authentic.

Another is just how much Donald has changed since leaving Community.
He was Childish Gambino before, during and after Community.

I actually know the writer of episode 6 not named Donald Glover. Hope this show does well.

Having spent far too much time in many of those neighborhoods, they nailed it. I'm amazed at how funny they wrapped up atlanta in one episode.

Did you see his interviews after he left Community? He seemed depressed and wasn't funny like he was prior to leaving the show. He was very dark and not the guy who would just do anything to get a laugh

And there was a big change in the Childish Gambino persona as well following his departure from Community. he used to be a kind of silly punchline rapper and now he's much more serious.
he's just done some weird stuff since leaving Community. Like deleting all of his tweets and being totally inactive on Twitter. He posted some really weird hand written notes and posted them on Instagram and the bad hair and beard is how he's looked IRL for over 2 years now and frankly it helps make him look depressed

I love it. It's like a mix between Hustle & Flow and ATL. Music is dope too

I'm nervous about this since Glover is such a weird dude.

So... Donald Glover is for real right, it jist feels like there's so many actors who try to rap or rappers that try to act that Glover being top notch at both is shocking then throw in his being a writer on a one of the better comedies of the 21st century and damn.

Really enjoyed the first two episodes. I didn't know what to make of this show from the previews and was worried it would fall into the same category as other "black comedies" but it is very unique/refreshing. The 3 main leads are very likable.

I liked the first two episodes as well. I thought the jail scene with the tranny was funny as hell.
