Who would take Crowton back at this point

Me and a friend were discussing this today. Go back and watch all the games from 2007 and see what creative play calling can do.

I would. even the reined in Crowton of 2010 did a couple things I think this team could use:
1) more screens
2) zone read

2008 If not for Jarrett Lee's pick 6's you would be singing a different tune. Miles put Jefferson in and pulled the reins in and THAT is why 2009 sucked so bad. Had zero to do with Crowton. And Maryland lost their whole team except the QB the year before he went there.

Except he did that.
And Crowton was his QB coach. And JL wasn't ready.

09 sucked because the OL sucked. Jordan actually looked like a competent passing QB that year. like 2000 yds, around 20 TDs.
T-Bob and Dworacyk were first time starters and got manhandled though. and we never found a competent replacement at FB for Quinn. that was by far the worst rushing team of Les' tenure. that plus the 08 Int issue made Les "recommit" to the running game in 2010 and become even more conservative.

I agree. Crowton was a scapegoat in my opinion. We don't have a good OC because Miles won't let go of offense. Therefore, all we get are puppets on strings. I think all the changes have been done on the wrong side of the ball. Wait till A&Ms defense gets rolling. I haven't seen any good sticks on defense since we let Chavis go!
