Send Malcolm Jenkins, vilma, Harper, Greer, Lance Moore and will smith packing
How many of those players contributed in 2013? Greer was lost to that gruesome injury during the year, and Smith didn't play a regular season snap.
Jenkins and Harper with Harper also missing a lot of time. So we had Vaccaro, kept Bush and brought in what was supposed to be one of the best safeties in the NFL.
Calling 2014 a rebuild is absolutely laughable. Hell, we were coming off a playoff appearance with a win.
4th best odds in NFL. We were supposed to be contenders.

People don't realize how elite our lines had played in 2013 and the fact we had two legit #1 corners, both which was an absolute anomaly...

What is your definition of rebuild? Payton and Loomis never did nor will they ever clean house completely as long as Brees is here. You can only turnover so many spots per year
You can argue semantics all you want, but getting rid of a ton of veteran leadership In favor of younger and often times cheaper replacements means your rebuilding. They certainly didn't "reload" that offseason outside of Byrd - Erik lorig, Goodwin, champ bailey
They counted on their young depth and the Byrd signing , which proved to be a terrible move.
