Spoken like someone who has no clue as to how competitive college football/SEC football has become. You don't win the west with three losses as LSU did in Nick's day and it only takes one or two key injuries to sink Championship hopes. Making bold but silly pronouncements on what constitutes a successful or failed season before the first regular game snap, is not something College football's smart people do. IMO

Certainly, as things stand today, we should compete for the West title.

If LSU loses 3 or less games AND we beat Bama then I think it will be a successful season pretty much no matter what. If we can't beat bama then that better either be our only loss meaning we are still CFP bound, or we better make it to the SEC championship game in spite of of that loss once again meaning we are still in the CFP discussion.
