I work with the girl who caught it. Pretty cool story.

After that picture was taken all 6 of them started running a train using the gator as a prop. 98% chance that happened.

That thing is a hoss, but is "only" 12' 7-7/8" in length. I expected Mississippi to have a bigger record gator than that. Also, it weighs less than 700 lbs. That goes to show you just how much the weight was embellished on Swamp People (tv...of course lying occurred).
