2017: 6th&7th RD picks Gone

I THINK we've now traded our 6th and 7th round picks in 2017.
If so....thats it, no more trading draft picks...unless we acquire picks somehow.

Who did we trade our 6th rounder for ??

the 7th is conditional. So not really a big deal if he is cut.
also, its a 7th rounder. Are we really all that upset with trading that away?

Seeing that this front office sucks at drafting, trading away draft picks lowers the chance they get lucky and draft a good player.

I THINK we lost it in the 2016 draft with either the trade for Vonn Bell or Onyemata ??

We just drafted Lasco in the 7th round.....any pick is valuable.

Trade all the picks away. Saints do better with finding undrafted free agents anyway

This was true before Jeff Ireland

I think 7th rounders tend to work out better for us than any other round we draft

Speaking of Onyemata...
The hell happened to him?
The hell happened to him?

He...played.
Got some pressures.
Got into the backfield.
What do you want?

So you use an outlier to back up your argument. Awesome.
Lasco...Dont know what we have
Murphy... on the verge of being cut
Rooks
Marcel Jones
Nate Bussey, Greg Romeus
Sean Canfield
Adrian Arrington
Marvin Mitchell
and on and on.
Look, i'm well aware of our success in later rounds and UDFA. point still remains i'm not going to get pissy if we trade a 7th rounder. A conditional one at that

With this CBA, you build a team through the draft. Rookies are considerably cheaper, gather picks and keep what you hit on ... Because they are cheap.
Working the FA market cost major $$. And it's not like the saints have been hitting on their FA pick ups either.
At least the rookies are cheap.

McCain is still cheap, and like a rookie that just has a couple of years of NFL experience.

The way the saints draft...I don't mind at all if saints trade all their picks for players other teams drafted
