Plus it not only stole the concept of a team of super-villains from Guardians of the Galaxy
GTFO with this shite. SS is a 30+ year old comic series and concept.

DC is the Walmart of movies.
Big, impersonable, lacking in quality, and flocked to by hordes.

I think 600 million is break even territory.

And Wb don't make these films to barely break even.

The production budget was 175 mill and marketing was 50 mill. So a net profit of 375 mill.

I have no idea. You seem knowledgeable on the topic. That's why I was asking.

The fact is:
1. The studio is reporting it as a success.
2. They're continuing to invest millions in these films. Why would they if they lost money?
Those are two facts, regardless of numbers.

You shouldn't trust Hollywood accounting.

Tell me what you're right about, and why. Also, tell me why the studio continues to invest millions in these movies if they're not making any money. Enlighten us.

Based on everything I've read 600 million is on the low end to make a profit. They are making money but not enough to cover the losses of their other films which is what they depend on the blockbusters for. I think they are green lighting these films because other than fantastic beasts what other mega franchise does Wb have? The franchises pay the bills today and Wb has no choice but to make dc work even if that means making not much while they get the kinks figured out.

DC has made plenty of money with their three DCEU movies so far. I'm no fanboy, and I definitely recognize the flaws in all three movies, but to say that they haven't been successful is ridiculous. They've made three movies that have combined to make over $2 BILLION dollars worldwide. FFS.

The number comes from a Hollywood Reporter article (I think). No possible way to tell if it's true or not.

What's the third? BvS, SS and?
