quote:
mold is always in the house. it is always in the air. What you are looking for is the spore count in the house to be equal to or less then the mold count from outside. But you also do not want to see the bad molds (ie black mold)
The abatement contractor can only be responsible for the "final" count while under their treatment. If you as a homeowner neglect the environmental condition within the space, IE shutting off the A/C for long periods of time, running steamy showers with out proper ventilation, or a leak at the kitchen sink, they cannot be held liable.
Remember mold need 3 things to grow. Darkness, food source, moisture. Making sure the studs are dried to 15% or less moisture content prior to hanging the rock is essential. Also, if you can, adding a UV light to the coil section of the AHU would also lessen the chances of airborne spread and UV 'C' kills almost anything

Buy a moisture meter and go to Pest Stop.

Bora-Care with Mold-Care. No certificate needed. Just need label of the product and the work order receipt. Prices range due to Sq footage and mix ratio.
