Does Houston need another 18,000 seat arena? Seems like many NBA/NHL teams share arenas. If they ever tear down the Astrodome certainly a new arena could be built there.

Harris County-Houston Sports Authority is not going to build another arena. Especially not with the idea that it will split revenues with the Toyota Center.

The only way Houston will get an NHL team is if Alexander buys one.
