So, I'm telling you there's a chance...

We all know the constant for this team is the offense. We all know that the offense ranked in the top 5 of the NFL for a decade now. With Sean calling plays, and Drew calling hut, you won’t convince me to expect otherwise.
Yes, the O-Line has question marks this year. The O-Line had questions marks last year…Top 5 offense. The WR group raised questions last year…Top 5 offense. Drew’s arm strength was in question last year….Top 5…alright you get it.
In 2007 and 2008, the Saints finished 7-9 and 8-8, respectively. It was clear that the defense wasn’t good enough to be a playoff team.
In 2014 and 2015, the Saints finished 7-9. It was clear that the defense wasn’t good enough to be a playoff team.
The NFL offers as much opportunity to go from worst to first as any sport. We don’t need the Broncos defense to be a playoff team. We need a mediocre defense and a few timely stops. So many games are decided by one score. That means one stop, one turnover, one timely play... After all, the average NFL game has about 11 minutes of actual playing time. So, we just have to be the better team for 6 of those minutes.
We do have a few reasons to believe the defense will not be as bad as it was last year. That’s a start. The offense will score. Stop worrying until Drew is gone.
The offseason should be the most hopeful and optimistic part of the season. I can’t stand listening to Mike D talk about the team right now. “Oh dis is a seven and nine, six and ten team” “dis is not a playoff team” frick off dude. We are undefeated right now. Why are people crying so damn much?
It’s a new start to a new season. I’ll spend my preseason with hopes that the defense is just good enough to get us back in the playoffs. I’ll save my melt downs for when the time comes…and there’s a damn good chance it will come. I’m not sitting here calling a Super Bowl run, but after what I saw from 2008 to 2009, I’m not going to say it’s impossible.
Enjoy another season of watching a no doubt first ballot Hall of Famer at quarterback for the New Orleans Saints!! I’m looking forward to riding this roller coaster once again.
TL:DR - We going to the ship! I figured since the Drew Brees first ballot HOF thread is at 3 pages, I could dish out my opinion with a few facts and not be the worst thread on the page.

Only read subject and last line. Yes you are correct anyone can post almost anything right now. Speaking of terrible did you guys hear Aguayo a K that Tampa traded into round 2 to draft missed 3 kicks in a public practice today. He got booed by his own fans.

That makes the Morestead pick look like a gem, right Chad?

No but I was very vocal against drafting a kicker

We will bounce back on defense. Unfortunately it looks as though we may lose b/c of the Oline.

This is the theme I sense reccuring this year.
