Who?
Posted on 8/22/16 at 8:04 pm to ColeLSU
Must have been too far down the depth chart for his liking

Probably not happy about Malone taking his spot, when Maea went down

This shouldn't impact this season. And all it does is clear up the depth chart for incoming guys.
Good luck to him elsewhere.

I have never heard of that person. He must be like 4th string or something.

He was a late get I think. Didn't have many SEC offers. He'll probably go JUCO then go to Florida.

Kind of the "process" working.....

These kids throw in the towel before it's even their time to have a shot at playing.

Wasn't he the guy who was related to Spencer Ware?
Posted on 8/22/16 at 8:29 pm to ColeLSU
Hope for the best for the guy. A lot of the times I'm sure a bunch of these kids get anxious thinking about their future. Seeing other lower class men getting a lot of publicity and playing time. Thinking that if they go to a new place things will change for them. Often times it doesn't but sometimes it does. It's probably hard going from being the guy in high school to just being seen as a back up.

What the hell!!!

Apparently he may be going to Penn State?
Redshirt freshman, must have expected to start this year for some reason.

Most definitely. He was a project player at the tackle position.
The fact is that LSU has several quality players which can line up outside:
Mae Teuhema
K.J. Malone
Chidi Okeke
Jakori Savage
Toby Weathersby
Willie Allen (injured)
I'm not sure where Brown fit in the rotation outside of the guys who have received reps at the starting positions (Teuhema, Malone, and Weathersby), but considering Allen's injury you would think he wouldn't be too far out of the mix.
Jeff Grimes has a tendency to sign at least one prospect each year that seems like somewhat of a head-scratcher. George Brown Jr. just happened to be that guy for the 2015 recruiting class. He wasn't a very highly touted player in terms of star rankings and was not local, but he possesses an ideal, athletic frame for an offensive tackle.
It's a shame things didn't work out. Best of luck to him.
I am beginning to wonder what's up with the number of recent transfers. Then again, offensive line and wide receiver are arguably the team's two deepest positions.

Had a class with him last semester. He seemed like a cool dude. Apparently he and his dad are really into fitness and own a gym I believe back in Ohio. He did say in class one day if I remember correctly that he really liked Florida when they recruited him but chose LSU instead. Best of luck to him wherever he goes.

Really disappointed by this. I thought Brown was our most natural LT at 6'7" and would develop into the role. I guess he didn't feel like he was in line for PT.

I hate this he is dating my younger cousin. She is also at LSU.
