The Caribbean Room is what you are looking for. Service, ambiance, food--all top notch.

There are so many good places that it is hard to go wrong.

The wife and I have eaten at Bayona, Brigtsen's and GW fins (among other places in New Orleans). Of those 3, I would go with Bayona. There is nothing wrong with the others, but we had an anniversary dinner at Bayona and loved it.

Bayona is an intimate restaurant in an old house.
When you make the reservation, mention that it is your anniversary. They will treat you very well. It is very romantic and the food was awesome.
Get the sweetbread.

Have you eaten there yet? I haven't seen much on it other than about the difficulties in getting a reservation.
