Cellular device question

I have an S6. Got a little "damp" last night around the charging port. Now the damn thing wont charge. I have insurance on the device, but my question is- if I have it sent for warranty repair, will they be able to detect the water damage, or will they just fix the charging port?

Just send it in and say it won't charge.

Tell them it never got wet and it must've been sweat from your pocket. Works for me
