It's funny how people forget the past. Miles downfall has been the recruitment/development of good QB's. Periloux F'd us in a huge way on development. When Miles had a good, veteran QB that he trusted we threw the ball and were successful doing so. He hasn't trusted the QB or the QB hasn't performed in the last 2 seasons. I'm no pumper but if you don't see us throwing the ball this year it's because Miles isn't confident in him and he isn't developed where he should be. Which is still on Miles .

Spot on. Miles has proven that when he trusts his qbs he will throw the ball more.
Jruss in 06, flynn in 07, JJ/lee combo of 2011,mett in 2013 were all in the top 5, in the sec, in pass attempts.
I swear we have portion of our fan base that would rather throw for 400 yards and lose than throw for 100 yards and win.

LSU (Miles) runs numerous one and two man routes all the time. Try watching a game and take off the P&G glasses.
The irony is glorious.
Our most used set was a 3wr set. We ran plays out of 3 wr set 49% of our entire plays ran in 2015. It was the leading set in 10 games in 2015.
Youre clearly watching lsu games with ," shite on our offensive staff" glasses if you think we are running a lot of 1 and 2 wrs passing plays..
Ive never seen a fan base use bullshite myths to shite on the coach with the best tenure in school history.
The maddening part is that Miles has actual shortcomings that you can easily point too yet people like you choose to use these false narratives that are just wrong.
Instead of saying our 2015 offense wasnt productive, say we lacked balance making it easier for the better ruj defenses to stop us.
Say Miles has a problem projecting qb talent at the collegiate level.
Say Miles always signs DT qbs and asks them to do things theyve never done in their life.
Say that Miles isnt hard enough on players when they get dumb penalties and the players dont fear teh consequences of said dumb penalties.
Say that Miles is an elite recruiter but that in some classes he neglects position groupings or isnt successful in pulling difference makers in position groupings that are an area of need for lsu.( its great having all these 5 star wrs but a 5 star wr doesnt have the impact of a 5 star dt or de)
Say that Miles' doghouse is too easy to enter yet extremely hard to leave from.
Any of the above criticisms are justified. Getting on here saying we always run 1 or 2 wr pass plays just lets peope know youre repeating some bullshite you heard or saw someone say/post that isnt backed up by facts.

Miles downfall was Perrilloux? Are you telling me Miles was blind-sided by an off-field issue in big time COLLEGE FOOTBALL? When did guys getting into trouble off the field at big programs become a new thing? Perrilloux was not an anomaly, and recent history has proven that to be true time and again.
its not about "trust". I saw the 5th string QB of Syracuse come in to the LSU game and throw the ball twice as many times for 3 touchdowns....against a top 20 defense...with SYRACUSE talent....in the FIRST HALF of the season.
This "trust" thing is a sham, and its an excuse used by the pro-miles offense folks. LSU is leagues behind college football when it comes to offense, at least up to this point.

So to trust his passing game, he needs two future All-Pro WR's and a future NFL starting QB who can't scramble?
Even though there are walk-ons, freshman, 5-10 160 lb qb's all over the country throwing for 400+ yards a game every weekend, for LSU to do that ONCE out of 5 weekends is considered okay?
Besides, everyone wants Fournette to be successful, right? Look at Baylor. Look how their RB's can go out and run for 200+ yards on 15-20 carries with less contact, and along with that, the QB throws for 400+ yards. Fournette gets yards, looks good, doesn't draw a lot of contact (thus prolonging his health and preserving his body for future contests), AND the passing game gets to balance it out. What crazy idea.

2) Les won't change a thing and will get fired.
Nope. Even if we see the same thing I don't think he'll be fired. I expect to see much of the same, and LSU will lose 2 games, and he'll remain on. Now, if they were to lose to the likes of Arkansas and Miss St., and lose 4-5 games, then you can bet he'll be fired.
The Aranda defense is going to make the team look really good. I also expect the DL to improve again under coach O.

Perfect.
Radio callers are even worse.

He was literally fired at one point last year. It took an act of a governor for him to keep his job. When people gather millions of dollars to have you ousted, you honestly think they're going to give you another chance if you just move forward with the same thing that got him fired the first time? What makes you think that if he did the same thing again this year, the higher ups and the people with money will let it slide and be happy go lucky?
I'm not sure I see your logic and how anyone thinks if the results are the same, he keeps his job.

we have other rbs
we ran the ball prior to LF
we will run it after LF

A piss drunk Steve Sarkisian could be calling plays from the LSU sideline this season and they could win 10 games. They're too talented not to win regardless of the playcalling.
A piss drunk Steve Sarkisian is better than anything Les can come up with.

Typical.
Blame Miles for the offense.
Praise Aranda and O, not Miles, for the defense.

I was conversing with a poster last night that actually said our 2015 offensive production numbers had nothing to do with miles and then said two posts later that miles needs to let his offensive coaches, coach.

you realize CLM has coached and is involved more with the offense right?
Did Spurrier get credited with defense?

So the head coach isn't responsible for the ENTIRE team?
Posted on 8/17/16 at 1:13 pm to Prominentwon
of course...does Saban get praised for Bamas offense or defense?
Posted on 8/17/16 at 1:17 pm to Topwater Trout
Um, his entore team. Have you never watched or listened to college football talking heads and their constant cock devouring of Alabama teams? The ENTIRE teams?
How they have 2 RBs that have a total of what? 5 carries in their careers and some have called them the 3rd best tandem in the SEC? Saban doesn't lose in the media.

Wrong. There is a huge portion of the fan base wants to win the SECW and the SEC.
You can't do that by doing what miles did against bama, ole miss, and R-Kansas. Anybody who watches LSU regularly can see that LSU does so many things that holds the offense back.
