That specific instance is not the common practice in real football, is it illegal though?

This is why no one cares about your complaint.

Just like going for it on 4 and 3 or less inside the 50 every series isn't common practice on any level of football but is common online

Also frowned upon

Should you not be allowed to go for it on 4th until the 4th quarter now?

A lot of leagues have some sort of rule of when you can go for it

Don't claim the games ruined because "it's not real football" and then complain it won't let you do something that doesn't happen in football

One example of 10 I mentioned. Plus people can do that with their middle linebacker still once they smell the play out which doesn't happen pre snap in real life (and you would if you knew a screen was coming). You just don't like it because it's my DE though I'm playing OLB with him?

I agree, I don't do this either. But it's legal in football. Why wouldn't you be able to do it in madden? Some coaches do it in real life

Edge rushers don't move around pre snap in real football? They never stand up and run to other side of the Dline based on a motion? They aren't allowed to stand up and step back. All of this happens.
A lot of teams do this the majority of the game and just call don't call it a 4 man front. I just like the plays in nickel and dime better than the 1-3-7 type formations and use my end as an OLB.
