My first honest impressions of the Note 7 are that it's easily the most comfortable large phone I've ever held. It feels really compact for a device with a 5.7 inch display.

It looks tiny next to my 6P even though they have the same 5.7 screen size. It's much more comfortable than the S7Edge. The curves are much more subtle and not as sharp.

It's a beautifully crafted device. It feels premium without feeling as fragile as previous Samsungs that have the back glass design.

I probably wont be getting mine until Tuesday

I preordered it in early August and it JUST left Fort Worth Wednesday Night on UPS Ground. Heading to Portland, OR

I thought if I preordered it, I would be getting it in the mail by Launch Day. So much for that.

So much for preordering, would have been better off walking into a store and buying it today instead.

It definitely feels smaller but isn't. Had it right next to my note 5. Gave my son the note 5 and got me the 7. Zero issues so far. Very comfortable. I've had it unplugged since 7 this morning and right now I'm at 93%. Service actually was better than the 5 too. I live in sw Arkansas and on my drive home everyday I loose a call in this one spot. Yesterday drive right thru it and didn't even crackle.

Thanks for the updates... I've been keeping an eye out for user feedback since I plan on getting one soon, so if you have any other thoughts about the phone, I'd be interested to hear them.

One thing to share with you if haven't seen it:

TNW opinion piece - new Note scratches easy

Basically, the guy who wrote this is saying the new Gorilla Glass 5 is supposedly much better at shatter resistance (supposedly survives 80% of shoulder height drops)... but this appears to be at the expense of scratch-resistance. He's already put a couple of nicks on the glass from his keys.

That's the only bad thing I've heard to this point.
