I'm interested to know this too...my brother lives there. We last heard from him last night. House was still dry but they had no way out of the neighborhood. Would love if anyone has any updates. Haven't heard from them all day.

Hwy 16 is flooded from Hebron church all the way to lake at Grey's Creek. Over 2 miles.

I know multiple people there. I used to live there, as well. There are many homes throughout the subdivision that are flooded.

The latest update I had was from 10 AM yesterday. Most of the front of the sub is under some places moreso than others of course. The further away from Grey's Creek you are the better.

I found a thread on fb talking about southpoint. It seems that half of the neighborhood is flooded. Specifically the falcon crest side is flooded. The fb group is called Louisiana Flood Rescue - August 2016.

I'm working in the LP EOC. I've gotten quite a few calls from that area, specifically that subdivision. All looking for rescue.

Looks like it was 50/50 yesterday. Front section bearing the most some areas untouched.
If you hear anything please repost here

With Grey's Creek emptying into the Amite down by Port Vincent, I think the highest level would have happened today due to backflooding. That's just a guess though. I know the focus in the big thread was the wast side into baton rouge, but the same would work to the east.

My house is in the front. I know it's going to be bad. We left at 6 AM Saturday morning with water already at our garage...

I'm so sorry ell. I hope when you're able to get back that it won't be as bad as you thought. Prayers for you, and everyone else going through this. I have family in Plantation Estates that were emergency evacuated when water came in. It's heartbreaking.
