Many posters are looking forward to having a dominant D-Line again this year with the talent and depth that has been added and coached. Besides the improvement in D-Line play and depth, one effect that hasn't been mentioned is how this change will benefit the offensive play calling style.

With a deeper better D-Line, Miles can be more aggressive with the offense knowing that he doesn't have to worry that the D-Line will be worn down in the 2nd half if LSU doesn't play ultra conservative ball control offense. It should be a major benefit to the Offense. What does the rant think?

I think you're correct that a stout defense affects its own offense's play calling. Unfortunately for many, this might be manifested in more ground and pound. Miles knows that if he goes 3 and out he'll probably get the ball right back, and eventually the opposing defense will crumble - except you know who.

I don't know where everyone gets the idea that the offense is ultra conservative on every snap. Every game there were times where they'd be 4-5 wide but the QB just couldn't execute. Every pass play has deep routes and check downs. It just comes down to having a QB that knows when and how to get the ball to the guys at wideout.
