Because that crowd was still a huge crowd. It wouldn't have fit in the Smoothie King Center, and there's no venue I can think of halfway in size between Smoothie King and the Dome. It's play the dome or skip the entire Gulf coast until you get to the Houston show.

There was still a huge crowd. The haters who are saying, "they didn't sell out the Dome, blah blah blah" don't have a fricking clue.

Everyone I sat by were happy about the seat changes and raving about what a great show it was. Most people had paid less than $100 for their original seats and were being given seats that were $300 and up. Bottom line is that is was an amazing show and those who were complaining were a very small minority.

i imagine its not just the crowd but also the staging that would be an issue if trying to move a stadium show into a smaller arena for a select date.
