don't know to think anymore.
It bothers me that Miles was as careless as he was to even have a conversation anyone at UM; he then followed that lack of judgment by stating that he was helping them find a coach (I do agree with Spielman that that was a very lame statement).
Go figure.
The thing I do know is that I'm tired of of all this drama. I say this to Miles: If you want to go UM, go because you're losing points with the LSU fans the longer this drama continues.
For all we know, Miles may have already told Ship that he's going and neither want to mess with the NC game. Who knows.
If you knew that your wife was lusting after another man, what would you do?????

There was nothing careless about having a conversation with UM. There was no bad judgment in making the statement about "helping" UM find a coach. It is the careless thinking and lack of ability of folks to deal with a simple conversation in which Miles told Michigan he was not interested the UM job or Michigan told Miles they were going in a different direction who have blown this totally out of proportion that is what is bothersome. The "helping" part of the statement is simply a polite way of not revealing who told whom no as to not embarass either party. That's all it was. Nothing more. Get over it.

Why folks are making this a big issue is really hard to grasp? Folks are way to ready to buy into grand and implausible conspiracy theories.

Agree 100%. I don't think Les was the number one choice. Maybe in Mich's top 3-5. I think that they are biding their time, because they can.

Looking at what opened up, and what is left to fill, is there a program out there that can outspend Mich. Lloyd got ~$1.5 million, his staff ~$1.3. The AD runs a surplus and the new stadium revenues will just increase that by a lot. So Mich can throw another $2-2.5 million at the HC position and another $1-1.5 at the assistant pool and never miss it.

When you are the big bidder, only real loyalty trumps your play.

I think Mich is working up their list, not down to make sure they don't miss a great/lesser know opportunity. Sans that, they will make a big play. They have luxury boxes in the new stadium to sell and they need a high profile guy to sell them.
