An MBA in Civil is a nickel on a bobcats arse......worthless.
Seriously, don't waste your money.
As far Chem Es and those in industry, it's a good decision.

Texas A&M at Corpus Christi is a cheap online program that I just started. 1 class every 2 months

Hence my comment regarding other fields outside of Civil.

Barry I can't remember did you do the part time program or full time at McCombs? it sounds like you changed careers with the MBA, was that tough with the part time route?

back when I graduated, the job market was slow and lots of engineers went back for MBA....can't say overall that those with MBA are doing any better than those without.

Professional program. I went into management consulting specializing in energy. So it was a career switch but i still was utilizing a lot of my background. It's tougher to switch coming out of the professional program, but a lot of it depends on what you want to do.

oh ok. Did your employer expect you to stick around after graduation? Did they assist with tuition?

They only gave me 5k per calendar year and I just had to work 1 year from the date of the money. I sent in reimbursement forms in 2012 & 2013 and just didn't do 2014 because I knew I was leaving. My company wasn't the best so its not like they kept track on what I was doing or cared.
