1 There is no evidence or hint of any secret agreement. He was on ballots just never got enough votes.


2 Writers and ex players who traveled on the same trains and stayed in the same hotels on road trips as the team, have way more insight than posters on a message board 97 years after the fact.

Do you think that understanding the "eight men out" version of history has now been disputed or disproven should be considered? Conventional wisdom can be simply wrong. People can be unpopular for unfair reasons. The movie Amadeus made Salieri out to be a lot of things to which he probably had no resemblance.

And the seven guys he was accused with stated he had nothing to do with it. And he was acquitted in a court of any wrongdoing.

Far more evidence shows he wasn't involved.
