Name your surprise keeper and/or cut in the final 53

I go with cutting Tim Hightower.
They did it last year. Nobody's claiming him. He can come back and play at a moment's notice.
Not sure on the keeper yet. One of the UDFA guards isn't a huge stretch.

Surprise Keeper - WR Kyle Prater
WR is a very deep position for us and the battle for that 4th and 5th spot will be tight. I'm a big fan of Prater and I believe he has the potential to be special if he can stay healthy. However, with Cooks, Snead and Thomas all set, I'd be surprised if we kept him. We need to let Coleman go though.

Yes he's a veteran who knows the system, but Strief is so far outmatched week in and week out with that humiliating performance against JJ Watt highlighting it. The major reason he's still with the team is that we have no depth at T and Peat isn't ready in my opinion. We need to cut him but I know we can't.

I'm not asking you to win every battle but Brees was absolutely destroyed that game. It's also not the only game where he gets treated like a turnstile. Notice how many times we keep a TE or back in to chip or help him out, it's pathetic. What kills me is PFF ranks him as one of the better T's in the league.

It was really his first year that he's played poorly and he was beat up apparently.

Strief is on a nice contract and is a capable Tackle.
Obviously we want Peat to be the guy, and I think he will, but Strief is still an asset to the offensive line.

Cause they kept 4 WR's on the roster last yr. I think the max they would keep this yr is 5 but a lot would have to fall in place for that to happen. There are 3 locks on the roster now in Cooks, Snead, and Thomas. They signed Vincent Brown but put him on IR. Then they sign Nicks. I think it's obvious they are trying to find a veteran to take that last WR spot. I think Coleman would be the odd man out if they found that veteran
