I know. But I am honestly ashamed to say that I feel guilty not being over there.
I lost my brother a few years ago and saw it first hand.

he got hit in the torso and then the face. I will never forget it.

Damn man, i couldn't imagine the shite you've been through ...

However i do know one thing:

Your family doesn't want you to end up like your brother.

Better you be guilty than your family heartbroken.

You shouldn't feel ashamed at all. You should be proud as hell of everything you've done and sacrificed. It sounds like you have reservations about going, but will feel guilty if you do not go. You should have ZERO feelings of guilt or being ashamed. If you go I suspect you will feel guilty about not being with your family. You are already a freaking hero to a lot of us. Might be time to be a hero at home now. I know that's easier said than done.

Thanks for everything you've already done, man!

I felt that guilt, I felt like I left the Stan too early.

Now with a family my priorities are different especially since I'm back in school.

I agree with list eater I'd say open a range, teach concealed carry courses, maybe close quarter combat etc.

I may be in the minority but I believe the shite will hit the fan here soon than later.
