Room Oscar-winner Brie Larson is taking the lead as Captain Marvel, marking the first time a woman will play the title character in a Marvel Studios movie.
After months of rumors, the actress, also known for her roles in Short Term 12, 21 Jump Street, and (going further back) the teen comedy Sleepover, was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con as the star of the March 2019 film.
Captain Marvel has had many iterations in the comics, but when Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced the project in October of 2014, he confirmed immediately that this version of Captain Marvel would be a woman.

All that I can say is that this is interesting. At least a good actress was selected.

I'm not usually like this, but I'll just read about what happens in this movie after reading her Twitter account.

Awesome. Marvel has needed a female who is superpowered.
Good pick on the actress and Capt Marvel is a badass.

She's riding the "white guilt" train pretty hard and supports black lives matter. frick that.....

The vast majority of the Hollywood acting populace does that, either out of real belief or pressure. There is no need to insist that all people who serve the purpose of entertaining you adhere to your personal political beliefs. If she was to preach her political beliefs to you as a character in a movie then I understand your desire to skip it. However, in this case she is playing Captain Marvel. I doubt that she launches into a soliloquy on BLM in the movie.

So you think it is perfectly fine for Liam Neeson to make millions upon millions in action movies full of guns and violence, but is a stout supporter of gun control and wants the Feds to take all our guns away?

I'd imagine a big chunk of Hollywood is the same way. Can't really let that influence your movie choice nowadays

yes.
there are plenty of actors and actresses that hold views opposite of mine.
IDGAF what they think as long as they aren't harming others and entertain me.

They're movies. Fictional entertainment. So yea, I couldn't give a shite
If everyone based their movie going options off the actors and their political viewpoints alighning with your own, there wouldn't be a great selection

That sucks, but doesn't change the fact that she's a great actress with SUPERB tits. Easily my favorite fappening star.

Perhaps it is hypocritical of him but I would not let Liam Neeson's personal views on guns stop me from watching Batman Begins. Now, if his character drones on and on about gun control in the film then I would probably pass. Otherwise it is irrelevant to the movie and I don't care about it. The personal political views of all the actors in a film do not have to correspond to mine in order for me to appreciate the work.

I don't get her appeal; her performance in Room was the most overrated thing to happen in cinema last year. Her star is burning bright right now but there isn't enough mass there to last IMO.
I honestly think this is a case of casual viewer mass misidentity- my theory is that people hear her name, mistake her for Alison Brie, who is superior in every way, and go "oh yeah, she's great (her tits are incredible)".
