I think it really hurt that they launched the NBA pod mid-playoffs. I'm also not sure that they have found their line-up/voice for that pod yet. We will see what comes next season.

Bill's podcasts have generally been fine. The NFL pod seems pretty solid for upcoming season.

Pretty much everything coming through Channel 33 has been awful though. I'm probably less bothered by "SJW-stuff" than most on this board, but the episode they did on Facebook was just fricking awful.

I think that's true across the board for the site.

It's important to remember that Grantland was pretty unremarkable when it launched. It took that site to a while to get it's sea legs, to find more/the right talent (Hipster Runoff was an early Grantland contributor), and for it's largely unknown group of writers to find their voices.

I dont mind the pods that much. But I only listen to NBA, BS, and 1600 regularly. Then select Watch, Jam Session, and tech. I thought the Facebook one was the most interesting Tech pod they've done. Not because of political stuff, but more how people use Facebook v how Facebook wants to be used (whether that's newsfeed or facebook live moderation/censorship).
