Going to be there monday thru thursday for a conference. I only have one meal that isn't planned so I want to make it good. I need a lunch suggestion for monday. Lobster shack and Demillo's and seadog brewery are the preplanned dinner options. All other lunch and breakfast is planned by hotel/conf.

A must.

Are you just looking for food or things to do?

Cape Elizabeth is a nice place to go. It's got the Portland Headlight. You can also take a ferry to Peaks Island which has some good food at the Inn.

Beals ice cream is some of the best I've ever had, Portland lobster pound has great lobster rolls. Duckfat has the best french fries in america imho. all of this is in and around the old port. There are tons of great restaurants here. Also i would try and pass on Demillo's. its pricey, and sort of a tourist trap and there are much better places to eat! Hope I helped!

Fore street bakery is the bakery for fore street the restaurant, and its bread is to die for

(I am a summer resident for the last 15 years)

If you enjoy beer (which I'm guessing since you said Seadog is a must, that you do), there are tons of great breweries in Portland. Definitely check out Bissell Brothers, Rising Tide, and Allagash.

Also, Otto Pizza is delicious. Especially after hitting up all those breweries.
